Chandigarh: The Rashtriya Indian Military College (RIMC), Dehradun has invited application from boys for admission in Jan 2019 term, to be conducted on June 1 and 2.
While giving this information on Sunday, a spokesman of Haryana Government said that the entrance test was being conducted by RIMC, only for boys for admission to the Class VIII. The candidates appearing in the test should not be less than 11 and a half years in age but should not have attained the age of 13 years as on January 1, 2019, that is, they should not be born earlier than January 2, 2006 and not later than July 1, 2007. They should either be studying in Class-VII or passed Class-VII from any recognized school at the time of admission to the RIMC, that is, on Jan 1, 2019, he added.
He said that the written examination would consist of three papers namely English, Mathematics and General Knowledge. Besides, the written examination, the intelligence and personality of the candidates would be tested in an interview to be held on October 4, 2018. The interview would be held for only those candidates who qualify the written examination.
He said that the copies of Prospectus-cum-application form and booklet of old question papers could be obtained directly from Commandant, Rashtriya Indian Military College, Dehradun (Uttarakhand) Pin-248003 by sending a demand draft of Rs 600 for General Candidates and Rs 555 for Scheduled Castes or Scheduled Tribes candidates along with caste certificate. The Demand Draft should be made in favour of “The Commandant, RIMC Dehradun”, Drawee Branch,Stat Bank of India, Tel Bhavan, (Bank Code-01576) Dehradun, Uttarakhand. RIMC would not be responsible for any postal delay or loss in transit of prospectus caused by illegible or incomplete address. Locally printed or photocopied and without RIMC hologram (seal) forms would not be accepted. No refund of the application fee on any condition, he added.
He said that RIMC Application Form (in duplicate) accompanied by documents to be attached with application form two passport size photographs duly signed by the candidate along with a Date of Birth Certificate issued by (Municipal Corporation or Health Department), SC or ST Certificate and Certificate from Principal of School in original on it attested stating date of birth and in which class the student is studying and domicile of Haryana State should reach to the Haryana Chief Secretary, (Defence-1 Branch), Sainik Bhawan, Sector-12, Panchkula by March 31, 2018.
