Dimapur : At a time when everyone in the state is waiting for the likely announcement of the schedule for the assembly polls, here comes not only the announcement but the chief duos of the Patanjali Ayurved Limited, Ramdev and Acharya Bal Krishna reached here by a private aircraft to unveil the foundation stones of not only one but as many as five colleges at Punglwa under Peren district on Monday.The list of these higher education institutes includes one each of Para-Medical and Nursing College, Management College, National Institute of Fashion Technology, Ayurvedic College and Engineering College. Except the Engineering College which will come up at Hovukhu, Nuiland under Dimapur district, the rest four will be established at Punglwa, Peren District which falls under the home district of chief minister TR Zeliang.Zeliang himself announced about the Patanjali’s foray in Nagaland on twitter.

 “Laid foundation stones for five Professional Colleges to be taken up by Patanjali Yogpeeth. Gratitude to them for willingness to invest in my State”, Zeliang stated in his tweet. He also expressed hope that the works on all these projects will begin at the earliest.Both the founders of Patanjali, Ramdev and Bal Krishna Acharya were present during the programmes to announce these projects alongwith the chief minister and Thomas Lotha, advisor Higher and Technical at the function this morning.The proposed site is near another educational institute which has by now gained its name and fame after its inception.

 Sainik School is functioning nearby since past many years. Central Institute of Horticulture and SASSARD, a campus of Nagaland University is also nearby at Medziphema.On December 28, last, Patanjali Ayurved Limited, the fastest growing Fast Moving Consumer Goods (FMCG) Company of Yoga Guru Ramdev and Bal Krishna Acharya had announced to set up a 100-bedded hospital in the state for the differently-able persons.Also expressed keen interest in setting up of a university in Nagaland in partnership with the State and Central government and announced to invest 100 crore towards the proposed project. Bal Krishna on the day also hinted that Patanjali besides setting up of 100-bedded hospital for the differently-able persons but will also come up with a university or college.
